The best thing you can do is to buff every teammate, not only
stamina, but shadow protection, too. Buff whenever you meet
one without buffs, not only when all are together at the start.
It doesn't generate aggro and it helps, even when you are not
around. And if you should happen to be a dwarf: Fear Ward.
It's a mana killer, but hey, you will die often anyway.
The second best thing you can do is to Dispel Magic on
friends and enemies. It generates less aggro than healing
(watching a debuff disappear from the enemy doesn't mean
much to people, they get pissed off though when the health
bar jumps up again) and does basically the same as healing.
And the third best thing you can do is to cast Shield on
casters and healing on melees^1. Don't bother much with
healing on casters - if they are prime target they will die
anyway but the shield gives them 1-2 seconds to get the
final killer spell through. Rather Shield the caster and
spend the saved healing time to help kill the enemy.
A dead enemy doesn't do damage either.
This is what I would like to see from a priest.
^1 imvho opinion out of combat first rogues, then warriors,
then hunters. This is because a rogue who isn't stealthed
is basically a dead rogue. A rogue can't heal while being
stealthed: bandages, cannibalism, potions - they all
break stealth.
So having the rogue healed up first allows him to stealth
again and do much more damage to the enemy,
while the warrior deals the same damage to the enemy
no matter if he has 2k or 6k HP. And it allows him
to stunlock the guy, who is attacking the wounded
warrior next to you...
