first of all, Lindbergh is no longer "new", it was around since last
year.
not only that, but Lindbergh is using technology that was around, for
consumers to buy,
in 2004. (i.e. GeForce 6800 GT, 3.0 GHz Pentium4 )
Lindbergh is basicly the *latest* arcade hardware for Sega, but it
definitally isn't new.
Sega also has the very low-end "Aurora" board which is slightly
stronger than the original NAOMI board of 1998 (Dreamcast based) but
not as powerful as the NAOMI 2 of 2000-2001. I don't think any
Aurora-based games have come out yet.
Lindbergh is a step up from: NAOMI 2, Chihiro (Xbox Arcade)
and TriForce (Gamecube Arcade), but is not on par with Xbox 360 or
PlayStation3. dispite the fact that Lindbergh has 1.25 GB of memory
(1 GB system + 256 MB gfx)
it has nowhere near the processing power or graphics power of the new
consoles
(Nintendo Wii *not* included)
