| Myst on Linux - Anyone ever managed to get Myst i.e. the very first one, to run on Linux. First started playing the game years ago on a clapped out box running Win 98 which kept on crashing. I then installed Linux and have not been able to get Myst running using Wine.

Ok, my game is back up and running; I have been wandering from age to age,
clicking on machinery and buttons all over the place, wandering in dark
caves, catapulting off hot gysers, playing with strange hydroelectirc
controls,
wearing weird "diving" suits, and still not sure what I'm supposed to be
doing. Seems like I'm supposed to get the dam up and working, that's a dead
end. I've been going around in circles in the "wheel house"(?) at
Gahreesan(?).
anyway, nothing new for a long time.
any cryptic hints?

I'd assume since you made it to Relto you listened to Yeesha
down in the Cleft. Very simply, you are on a quest and bits
will be revealed as you go.
