Thanks for asking!!

As far as winter storms go, that was a pretty good one. I think the wind
topped at around 115. There's some trees down, but no major damage. I read
more inland that there was considerable flooding in some places which is
probably very true. There's a slough feeding the bay that drains a river in
front of my house and I've noticed it not recede much with the tides. That
means it's feeding a lot of water.

Took the kids down and watched the surf break a bit and that was awesome.
There's a really nice place in a semi-circle shape called sunset beach (
http://www.city-data.com/picfilesc/picc12072.php ) that is protected by
bluffs on both sides. The storm surge was walling up maybe 18-20 feet as it
entered the cove. I got a couple of poor pictures but the kids got scared.
They drill tsunami preperations into the kids here and my youngest wanted to
know if that was what was going on. I'd have loved to have stayed and
watched for a while.

On the plus side fossil and float hunting should be great this weekend Smile

You guys think that's bad?? Yesterday, in my place near the ocean
down here in San Diego, my pentium 4 proved inadequate at keeping my
apartment warm enough. I had to use my heater for the first time this
winter.

That's funny! It was really chilly here too. I don't think we broke 50. You
like it there?
