Since OFB I've been having lots of trouble killing off ANY NPC, which is a
blow to my knowledge sims in new families, they get too many wants to see
ghosts & theres no family ancestors to oblige them. Sad

I've tried penning them in & starving them, taking the ladders away in the
pool & even Rodneys death creator and they just refuse to die, even with
most motive bars totally red!

Personally, I always go for the cow plant. Neat, quick, clean, efficient
..... well, perhaps not clean. And they're unequivocally dead - you can't
get away from it, being digested is pretty final.

Best wishes

Plus your sim gets to drink their essence and stay young like Dorian Gray.
You can't beat that with a stick.

Well, poop. I downloaded it and tried to install it and it says there was
an error in installation and I "may need to uninstall and reinstall OFB."
Does anybody know if that means I need to uninstall everything or just the
last expansion pack? I haven't noticed any problems with the game lately.

Well, I think if you have FF, you don't need to install the OFB patch, since
FF would now be the latest ep you have, not OFB.

I went to the Sims 2 website and can't find anything about others having
problems installing the patch. What did you finally do? I'm afraid now
to try installing it.

Also, as a final bonus, I like the way the cow plant spits out the tombstone
at the end. Spt--ough, NEXT!

Move the error message away to see what file it's erroring out on,
chances are its the globalcatbin.whatever.package, just move out
yours, copy the original from the cd like Jeremy said and it should
work fine. mine did

Check the size of the file. I had to download the patch several times
before it downloaded the whole thing. When I tried to install the patch it
gave me that message if the file wasn't the right size and hadn't completely
downloaded.

I thought the same thing except the site, agreement etc. makes no
mention of it, and they are separate entities with different
resources, I expected to have to patch them both...
