Paradise .. Sokal - When? Anybody seen it yet? johns

Now I know why adventure games are not very popular - I picked up Syberia at Walmart for ten bucks. Where's the game in this thing? The hardest part about it is finding all the hotspots to click your mouse. Last adventure game I buy, that's for sure.

Riven Sound Delay Fix - I just started playing Riven (RealMyst was great), and on my machine the sound was delayed in the The solution was to increase the size, like so: Open and change the line to 16000. Also, as someone..

You would have to get a faster CPU but your motherboard would have to be
capable of supporting it.

I forget what the requirements right now, but I have an AMD Athlon XP
2200 (1.79 Ghz )
Maybe my CPU isn't fast enough. Are you planning on playing this one
Murray? Its in EB but so far, Dreamfall isn't, though I don't suppose
you are interested in it because of action sequences.?
Dreamfall seems to have more strict requirements than Paradise from what
I can recall. I don't know if my system would run on Dreamfall.

on website there are other requirements:
Pentium or AMD equal or greater than 800 Mhz
Geforce2/Radeon 7000 with 64Mb

I think 1.5Ghz processor is a requirement if you don't meet videocard
requirement (no hardware acceleration)

so, if it's your case, it's better to replace your old videocard

Me neither by the looks of things. I have an AMD Athlon XP 2200 (1.79
ghz) but my video card is ATI 9000 Pro with 128MB. When in EB yesterday
I checked Dreamfall box and it says ATI 9500 and up is supported, so
thats not me. My video card might work, but I am not buying a game which
I don't know if it will run on my system, and I have no intention of
buying a new video card.
I think Paradise would run OK on my system. On the box it says, ATI 8500
video card and up. Its more expensive though, so I will leave it for
now.
I bought Keepsake yesterday at EB, and it works fine on my computer and
is cheaper than the other two. I played the demo so had an idea about
the game. I like it OK so far. The graphics are beautiful. Acting seems
OK to me. A lot of running around though. There is a small map but its
not one that takes you where you want to go. Its just a guide. But itts
a nice point and click old fashioned type adventure game. I like the
interface and the built in hints system, which is very useful to find
out where to go next. But I am early in the game, so will see how things
go.
