Appearance: Meilan is a short girl of Asiatic descent, with long black
hair and deep brown eyes. She normally wears sandals, Capri pants, and
a sleeveless shirt. What little gear she has is contained within a
large brown bag that she normally slings over her left shoulder.

Personality: Meilan is a dedicated individual of great intelligence
and wisdom, with great strategic skill and bravery. She generally is
peaceful, and does not seek out enemies, preferring the company of
allies when and where she can find them. However, due to recent
circumstances, she can be a bit cranky on many occasions.

History: Sai Meilan, in her previous life, was a young disciple of the
Shaolin Temple, a legendary school of martial arts established in
ancient China centuries ago. As part of the final stage of her
training, Meilan was sent forth into the world to learn, explore, and
test her formidable fighting abilities. However, on her way through
what is now known as Hoenn, she became wrapped up in that era's Shiny
Unown hunt. In the end, however, she was nearly killed by a rival, and
changed into a Dusclops, allowing her some semblance of life and a
chance at restoration. Should she herself collect the 26 Shiny Unown
and win the prize, she will have a chance at life again, something she
most desperately wants.

After six hundred years of waiting and searching the world, Meilan
realized that some of the bonds holding her to life were fading. She
quickly remedied this by breeding with a Wobbuffet, then passing her
spirit into her egg as she created it. She emerged from the egg some
time later, then went into a period of isolation at Mt. Pyre until she
sensed something far distant. This event was the releasing of the
Shiny Unown from captivity in Johto. After waiting nearly three years,
Meilan snuck aboard the SS Tidal as it prepared to launch from
Slateport City to Dewford Town, and then Olivine City. On the trip
back to Slateport, Meilan came in contact with Jason Cassidy, and
forged a temporary alliance with him to locate and capture the
remaining Shiny Unown. Jason eventually quit the hunt, leaving her to
seek another method of gaining the prize.

After possessing Alexandria Masters, Meilan drifted into depression.
She recently assumed a new body, possessing her near-identical
descendant and forever abandoning her Ghostly attributes and the hunt
for the Shiny Unown. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

Hobbies: Meilan has a fondness for games, and is actually quite good
at chess.

Pet Peeves: Meilan only has one great pet peeve: she dislikes those
who dishonor the martial arts, beyond and including the Shaolin
fighting style.

Abilities: Formerly, Meilan could phase through solid objects and, if
needed, possess people and objects. Also, she could detect the unique
wavelength put out by Shiny Unown, and her ability to detect them grew
more accurate the closer she is. Currently, she has regained her
physical abilities and her old skills in the Shaolin arts.

Weaknesses: Meilan has no true weaknesses, beyond her terrible
loneliness as a result of her long years of isolation and her guilt
over her recent actions in pursuit of a new body.

Allies on Journey: Jason Cassidy and Alex Masters, more or less. She's
also on fair terms with Mimic.

Enemies on Journey: None for now.

Goals: Meilan currently seeks to redeem herself for her past actions.
