Once, I bought an X-Box, but returned it because
of the conformist corporate game selection and
the fact that it sounded like a vacuum cleaner.

I play my PS2 now in a very comfortable chair,
a perfect living room environment with a whisper-quiet,
slim and sleek PS2.

I will be getting a PS3 within 4 months, but please tell me...
will it be virtually silent as well ?

From what I have been hearing so far, it already is quite quiet. Quieter
than the 360 from what I have heard. Too bad it's a Sony machine and thus
something I will likely not buy.

I bet not. If they're really having heat problems shirley they'll have
a big fan in there? I must admit there are times when I wonder if the
xbox is about to go into orbit, and yes, the slimline ps2 is almost
silent in comparison.
