You know what REALLY sucks about the Sixaxis? Strangely it's not the
lack of rumble... It's the fact that they don't stay charged for more
than a couple of days. I have two of them and I finally gave up trying
to keep them charged. Fortunately I haven't actually wanted to play a
game for over a month and the Bluetooth media remote works fine for
video playback (both DVD and streaming.)
Well, that and the mushy triggers. I hate those.

give me a break, the sixaxis holds a charge for about 25-30 hours. you get

Your gripe is that they don't stay charged for a couple of days?? Is
that while playing with them, or just sitting idle? My 360 controller
stays charged for 6-8 hours during gameplay, but charges up real fast
when I need to plug it in. >> Stay informed about: PS3 Grand Theft Auto 4 to have Home integration and downlo.. |

It's the same with the Wii controllers, batteries just last longer.
http://www.gamepro.com/gamepro/international/games/features/159148.shtml
"But due to the lack of an auto-off feature like the Wii and 360,
Sixaxis lasted a meager 18 hours and 41 minutes; the first controller
to die on us."
"Surprisingly, Wii controllers lasted almost 20 hours longer than the
PS3 controller when playing games, watching YouTube videos, or
admiring handsome Miis. At the end of the day, the Wii CopperTops
tarried for a solid 36 hours and 43 minutes on default controller
settings."
(Uh, that would be DOUBLE the PS3 controller.)
"The Xbox 360 controller endured an impressive 56 hours and 56
minutes, the most of any wireless controller we tested. Fittingly, our
second to last play session went 360 minutes on the dot."
That's 3 times longer than the PS3 and 1.5 times longer than the Wii.

The first one i finished was ViceCity. Growing up in the 80's and 90's.. it
just kind of spoke to me. I also finished San Andreas as it spoke to me as
well and reminded me of all those gang/ganster movies of the 90's. So now
this one... i dont know if i'll make it to the end with such a compelling
online package... though i did manage to make it through CoD4 before even
setting foot onto the online playing field. So who knows.
I've still got 3 games i havent even touched yet: Heavenly sword, Rachet and
Clank, and Uncharted. And i blame it on CoD4's online multiplayer. So where
i'll fit GTAIV... i really dont know. lol. >> Stay informed about: PS3 Grand Theft Auto 4 to have Home integration and downlo.. |

Right and consider that the PS3 controller lacks rumble, its
inexcusable its charge lasts so short when compared to 360 controller.

1) this is obviously not gaming time if they're talking about auto-off.
2) copper tops (non rechargables) can't be compared to rechargeables. >> Stay informed about: PS3 Grand Theft Auto 4 to have Home integration and downlo.. |

I completed GTA 3 and GTA:VC, even from the perspective of finding all
items, jumps, etc.
I did everything in GTA:SA *except* finish the actual story. I got to
the last mission and gave up after a few attempts because the end game
takes about 20 minutes and if you die at any point you start all over
again. I got frustrated after about 2 straight hours of trying. >> Stay informed about: PS3 Grand Theft Auto 4 to have Home integration and downlo.. |

That's certainly a possibility. The online multiplayer modes look
sick.

Do you have a link to a page that confirms this is true for a) any
game and b) specifically GTA IV? That would be a pretty cool feature
if it were real. How would that even work, though, since the avatars
in Home are likely going to look very different than the character
models in any given game? >> Stay informed about: PS3 Grand Theft Auto 4 to have Home integration and downlo.. |

I have never once had a SixAxis die on me. Then again, I haven't
played PS3 games nearly as much as 360 games. Are there any actual
stats on the battery life for the PS3 controller, the Xbox 360
controller "charged" and the Xbox 360 controller with AA batteries? >> Stay informed about: PS3 Grand Theft Auto 4 to have Home integration and downlo.. |
