PS3 BIGGER than the original XBox?

I remember that one of the reasons stated for the PS2 outselling the
XBox (well, outside of XBox being an American made system, and Sony
getting Linear Japanese RPGs), was the size.

So, the PS3 is bigger than the XBox? If so, isn't that going to impact
sales?
