Are they any gotchas with one of these? Do all games work?

For a PAL PS2, if that makes a difference.

It's more to reduce cable clutter than improved image, to be honest.

Would you like a chocolate covered pretzel, deKay?

The only game I've had fail is Ico, but that may well be down to my TV as I
get the same "Unsupported" message as with many 8 and 16-bit VC games. If I
recall correctly, you don't have that problem with your TV, and you sound
unlikely to play Ico again so you should be ok.

I don't like third party cables as a rule, but when I wanted my PS2 component
cable the only one I could find was the Game own brand one which as it turned
out works pefectly and is only £6.99 now.

Ico works fine for me. I've been using a 3rd party component cable for
about 18 months and have yet to find anything that doesn't work.
