My brother has an external RAM disk (8 GB on an addon card) and plays from
there, and he reports that even with lots of addons, loading time is very
quick. The card has batteries so he's safe if the power drops out.

No, not fair enough. Blizzard should try to avoid this - its not like
its impossible. One reason Halflife stuck around for 10 years was the
ability to "mod" it, and the "modding" ability of wow is a big part of
its success. So they should stop doing idioting things (like adding a
new parameter argument in the middle of an exsisting sequence)

When Blizzard changes something not caring that addons relying on a
certain functionaly will no longer work.

Addons and the new patch? - I'm pretty new to WoW, and this is the first patch I've had to install (other than the 1.8 or whatever to play initially) When I logged on today, I noticed all of the add-ons I use (CTMap, ItemRack, and Auctioneer) were no longer loaded. Is there..

Addons - Whats Blizzards Stance onthis?? Can Any addons be used?? or am i likely to get booted from account?? Just wondered.

Addons - I started new thread - because this isnt't about interface problems anymore... Well, i am now playing with an Druid wich has leathworking & skinning, and the other one is Human warrior (no professions choosed yet). So, what addons would be recomm...
