Yeah, but I figured it could stand to be spelled out. It does
make me wonder, though - by the book, would you be
able to zap someone whose Dancing weapon had just
damaged you? Common sense says no, of course,
but that's no fun.
The Dancing description in the SRD says "the person who
activated it is not considered armed with the weapon," which
would imply to me that the spell wouldn't work. But it also
says "In all other respects, it is considered wielded or attended
by the creature for all maneuvers and effects that target items."
That could be taken to mean just stuff like sunder that actually
target the items, and that's probably how it should be taken. But
can we come up with a reading of the rules that would allow this
spell to zap someone with a Dancing weapon but not a spellcaster
who actually touches him?
