For any campaign or/and world of GURPS, can I role-play a character
with Gurp as my character's name?

If your gamemaster allows it, you can use any name you want. Ask your
GM.

I'm sure you could in ANY RPG, although why you would want to is an
open question.

Most GMs tend to get annoyed when people choose silly names for their
PCs, such as Ima Pigg or Owatagu Siam.

Is that a serious question?

I'll try a serious answer: if you feel it's suited for the campaign
you're about to play (example: a humor all-goblin campaign), AND your
GM allows, yes.

Be warned, though, that if you play it on a "public space" (such as
many via-internet games), it's not polite to use character names to
make fun of real-life products, whatever they are, and someone might
eventually end offended.

If it's for a private game, as long as your DM allows it, you can use
any name (even existing ones) for your PC.

Why not? I really don't see what the problem is here. If you want to
name you character "Gurp" ask your GM. If you build a Green Lantern
clone and want to name him Blue Lantern, go for it.

That is how it should be for GURPS. GURPS is a general rpg, which means
it has to have a broad base of rulebooks.
