Order a Wii for whenever?

Is there someplace that you can go order a Wii (just the console) and
whenever they actually get some in you can go pick it up? I am
interested in getting one BUT I am not in a hurry, don't want to pay
extra, don't want to play the "camp out at a store/web site" game, and
don't want to buy one of the fricking rediculous bundles that
everyplace seems to be selling (only $750 from WalMart, yay, not!).

I am not sure where you are located, but I know that Game Crazy stores, at
least around central New York, let you sign up on a waiting list. You don't
have to put any money down, you just give them your name and phone number.
When they game them in, they go down the list and call people if the people
are still looking for them (haven't found them else where) they can come
into the store and buy them for retail, no bundles, although they do
recommend the extended warranty, but it is your choice.
Depending on the size of the list and the number of shipments it could
take 2 months, or 2 days. And if you happen to find one in store at another
retailer in the mean time, no harm, no foul. Something to check into if you
have any of these stores in your area.
BTW - I don't work for Game Crazy I just shop there a lot and know a lot
of people who have gotten their Wii's this way.
