Got to play one for the first time today, nice condition and for sale.
It was probably set a little easy, but I did enjoy it, particularly the
sound. While I loathe the film, I love the music. But that's the
thing. Gameplay was pretty fun, and the music was good - but I was
immediately struck by the thought that the soundtrack might get old
pretty quick. Any long time owners with a thought to share, or any that
got rid of one for that (or other) reason?

Regards,
Nick

I sold mine pretty much because I had to; not for the reason you
mention. I like the game a lot although there may be too many modes and
not enough of anything else for my taste. To be fair, I didn't really
think so at the time I was playing the game regularly but looking back
and thinking it over that is one thing about the game that I might hold
against it.
You music question is an excellent one -- my first reaction is "no,
after all it's a pinball about a pinball rock-opera featuring one of
the best bands ever IMHO" so how can the music get old? Hmm...
Guess I'll think about it and maybe post again when I have something
concrete to say...

I like the game, it's definetly one of the better DEs.

As far as the music, it's pretty cool, but please don't confuse it with
a "rock opera by one of the world
s best bands!"

It's a broadway soundtrack recording of TOMMY, which of course is not
the same thing.

The music hasn't gotten old for me, and I've been hearing the songs
since they came out! I think the variety of songs are better than the
repetivitive sound clips on other pins. When I got my TAF I thought the
sound was pretty annying compared to my Tommy. After all would you
rather listen to music or a series of sound bytes over and over?
Over all a great pin I think, I wouldn't get rid of mine, I can't see
getting tired of it. Still haven't made it to the Pinball Wizard mode
though, scored over a billion points, but no damn wizard mode!

Thanks for the input. Has anyone that has made the wizard mode out
there that can let me in on what to expect - is it worth it?

Regards,
Nick

Nothing special wiz mode- lots of balls fly out, and the blinders open,
the usual. Game does have a TON of modes so its tough to get to.
