I have sofar heard that Shadow Priests are the best. Others say
hunters. Still others say Rogues... can anyone be more specific?
Anyone have a lvl 40-or-so who just whoops everyone's butt mainly
because of class and not items?

If you could break it down specific, such as profession and race that'd
be great. I know I'm asking a lot but you guys seem to know your stuff.

Flavor of the moment to WTFPWN everyone is Warlock. Probably Hunter as
number 2 choice.

I like playing pvp on shaman (played exalted in AB and AV), now i'm leveling
hunter to make him pvp:er too.
Sometimes i play pvp too with my druid. I also have lvl 19 warlock which i'm
using only on pvp too.

I have a level 48 troll blacksmith fury (0/38/0 so far) warrior
dual-wielding flurry axes, and I used to eat gnomes for breakfast,
dwarves for lunch, humans for dinner and night elves for the artistic
bonus (I love backflipping pulp).

My limbs are a bit rusty now though.

Good Paladins don't die easily in pvp.
As far as easy to play? Any class is easy to play unless you are an 8
year old.

One of the hardest people to kill was a Marshall class warrior. He ran
into crossroads and had everyone and all the guards pounding on him for
a while before he ran away to heal up.

My shadow priest and beast spec hunter do great though....mages cant
sheep, priests and locks cant fear him while my pet goes to town. I
usually just pelt them until they close on me then use wing clip and
dance away while pet keeps tearing them.

depends how you play and what you want to do: for an easy start try a
Paladin, you won't die to often; for something that will be powerful,
without being to hard to play, a hunter or for something really powerful
but requires good skill, a warlock

(that what my pvp guildies say anyway)

Hah loladin, on our server loladins die first on pvp, they attack with shiny

Open your spellbook, and put your mouse over the "Attack" skill.

Ah, but you were asking for crit with spells. There's no built-in way
to see your spell crit rate, unfortunately.

Nope - I just go by the near constant extra-big damage numbers I see in

Master demonologist and demonic sacrifice are definitely very cool, and the
enchanced damage when using an imp might come close to or even outclass the
enhanced damage in destruction. Once I get to the point where I'm able to
do MC, I will probably respec again to a demonology build.

One thing I did do recently was remove all my points in affliction, and put
them into demonology instead. I was finding that I hardly use corruption
anymore, and when I do use it, the delay in casting it is actually a handy
way of avoiding overdamaging and taking aggro. So I'm back to having
quaker's instant minion again, and the health boost from demonic embrace,
both things which I missed a lot when I respecced to be destructo-girl.

Oh yes, if you're good at fearing, you can definitely clean up on enhanced
curses. I'll go so far to say that affliction is probably the way to go for
1v1 PvP encounters. Destruction is when you want something dead, NOW, maybe
without the opponent even realizing that you are the one wrecking their
day.

My favorite PvP monent was when a 60 rogue (I was 56 at the time) tried to
gank me. I slapped a death coil on him, followed by curse of agony and an
immolate, and then the encounter was over, because he ran away the moment
the fear ran out, mounted, and headed for the hills. And then died on his
horse. *
