I am possibly putting some Arcade or instant redemption pieces in a
shopping mall and they require $2 Million Liability and also $2 Million
per Occurrence coverage. Is there a specific nationwide commercial
insurance company that game operator's are using? I have made a few
calls but have not had any luck finding a company who insures vending/
arcade agames...any ideas?

Thanks - Mike

Ask the mall if there are any companies they work with that you could use.

Thanks for the suggestion Lloyd...... I found one company that will
insure me for $2million Liability and $2million per occurrence but they
want like $2,500.00 a year? How the hell is someone going to injure
themselves on an arcade or redemption piece to the tune of
$2Million????

Thanks -

I saw a news report about some kid that somehow got himself *inside* a crane
machine in order to get one of the prizes...

Never underestimate the stupidity of the human (and Zinfer's) mind...

Yeah, creepy. According to KLOV 2 guys. One 19, & one 18 both of heart
attacks after playing Berzerk. So I wonder where those "killer"
machines are now....

$2500 sounds reasonable.

As far as injury, just think what any incident will cost you when you get
sued. It might be rare, but that one odd time can end your life as you know
it when you lose everything.

Some years back I read in Venting Times that around ten people die every
year having vending machines fall on them when they try to shake a product
loose.

A glass cut, some idiot doing something they shouldn't, an electric shock.
There are probably millions of ways an accident can happen. You only need
that one time to really screw you over. It may never happen. But if your
name comes up in that one time, you'll wish you were insured. LTG Smile
