I know that with Diablo II, you can open the game in a window by adding
a "-w" option to the target. This doesn't work for Diablo, so is there
a way to open Diablo as a window rather than full screen?

you need a space between the command and the -w
i.e. "C:/Program Files/Diablo II.exe" -w

unfortunatley, if you click outside the window, it minimizes to the
taskbar

there's another one for SP that if you add -act5 (-act 5) and start a
new character, it starts you off in Harrogath at lvl35, but its been
awhile since i used that one, having an editor and all

I think you missed the point. Wink

To the OP- far as I remember, and that ain't real far, there's no such

the -w switch does work...and theres more of them
as for the other one, this was a switch that some called a 'cheat'
but since Blizzard never really stops you from using it
i remeber a bit further back than you, seeing as I use to do alot of
modding/hackin back on 1.09d/1.10 (SP and Open only tho)
anyone else remember LadderHall and ericjwin and his crazy sins
with Ith'd armor and something like lvl500 Venom on Attack

The point I think you missed is that the OP was asking about Diablo... not
Diablo 2. Smile
