According to an article in Game Informer, the earliest it will be out is
2005.

Bethesda are keeping quiet about it for the moment, but they use
the words "Quite a while" when saying when they will announce a release
date so I very much doubt it will be before Christmas.

Yes! (But remember that I didn't say which Christmas! Smile

Seriously, though, Bethesda are aiming for Christmas 2005. Which means
that (if they do a rushed job which freezes every ten or twenty steps,
like Morrowind,) it will be out by Christmas 2006! Sad

Actually it makes more money to put out a freezing shoddy game. Because
everyone will then buy a "Game of the Year" edition in the hope it
won't freeze, and when it still does they can put out a "Game of the
Decade" version of Morrowind and Oblivion together, which will finally
contain and intelligently coded Morrowind which doesn't freeze. Thus,
we've all paid three times the price of the original game. Clever
marketing, eh?

What's up with Oblivion??? - Now pushed back to 3/20/06? I guess I shouldn't cry about not getting my 360 until January, since this game was the selling point for the 360 for me ( though I do have Kameo and PDZ collecting dust at the house right now).

Oblivion - when? - Any word on a release date for Oblivion?

I have teh Oblivion! - Released early from a store in Metrocenter, 44.99 It's 60Hz only though which is a bugger. That's two of them that I know of now, DOA4 and Oblivion. I hope this is not going to become widespread. At least Oblivion says so on the front of the box, unlik...
