Missing from Manual? - Hey, all, it's me the newbie again! Got the new games off of eBay, installed SoA and ToB. I really like hitting TAB to see what can be clicked on, that's worth ToB right there! I've got most of the game down, I think. An actual manual would be nice,..

BG2 - Graphics problem - Hi guys, I've just finished a days worth of mod hunting for what I think is my 5th go through. It was a clean install with ToB, the latest official patch, and ToB 112 fix. Mods aren't an issue I know, so I won't go through them here. My..

Any lists of enemies/weaknesses for BG2? - I'm at the beginning (Irenicus prison 2) of the game and already I'm getting pounced by a room of mephits. There are three machines that keep these buggers. I know I gotta get those machines. They seem to magic spells. My main guy..

Off-topic here, but fans of BG1 & 2 obviously have good taste. Smile

Anyone have it? Worth getting? It looks kind of good and I've seen a lot
of great reviews...

From what I've heard, it's really a lot like Morrowind. Great
graphics, very open-ended, you can do anything, but word-choice dialogue
and not much plot.

I need to upgrade my PC before getting this. I'm in no great rush though as
I'm the type who will want to mod it to suite my style of play so I need to
give the modding community time to work their magic. Also the longer I
leave the upgrade the cheaper it will be (or I'll have the next GFX card up)

What a neat surprise to see Blucher here.I pore through the archives
all the time when i'm playing a game and have seen plenty of your
posts. I

just defeated your evil Small Teeth Pass dragons. The purple one was a
bitch. It was the first time I ever had to put on specific resistances
to avoid the brunt of a Dragons breath attack. Draconis nor Abazigal
ever gave me as much trouble, I imagine it was the lack of space to run
around in, because his breath attack was a real (mage) killer. It took
me about 8 tries before I got everybody through alive. And only the 2nd
try after I relented and memorized some Pro-Electricity spells.

Was just about to say... Smile Thanks for the "hello" however. Shame this
forum is so quiet now. Old game though, and usenet is kind of dying off
anyway and being replaced by web forums. Sad

Given that Morrowwind put me to sleep (seriously, Bards Tale 1 was less
of a grind!) I've avoided Oblivion completely.

I recently started playing WoW on a borrowed friend's account. Although
the RPG & plot element isn't Bioware/Black Isle quality, I have to
admit I'm impressed. The art direction is amazing, w/o killing your FPS
performance, a la BF2 or Oblivion. The quests are nicely tiered and
there's alot of depth in terms of character customisation. There's lots
of nuances built into the game to make you dependent upon other
players, both for quests and for 'professional' help (e.g. you're a
miner/blacksmith, and he's a tailor/alchemist).

The game is also structured so that with a few hours a week you can
still enjoy the game; no need to power-level and buy exclusive items on
ebay non-stop. I think Blizzard learned alot from Diablo2.
