Once upon a time, I had the meanest machine on the scene... a 2.1 GHz
AMD processor, a Gigabyte of RAM, yada yada. I could look at the specs
of any software box, puff out my chest, and laugh.
Now I find even Sims Nightlife tests my machine in the larger lots, and
some of the stuff I've downloaded is so complex and detailed it turns my
game into a slide show. Also, I can't get as many sims on my lots as
I used to as lot complexity goes up.
So I was wondering how bad the newly-created lots in OFB slams one's
computer. It's not really in my budget to get a new computer till Xmas
at the earliest, and this one is upgraded as far as it can go.

Well, as I think my first post about OFB said, it runs much, much, much
better than NL.
Basically, with OFB, I get a 10-20 fps more, despite running graphics
completely on full, while in NL, I had it set on medium. >> Stay informed about: OFB....How do computers handle it |

Yes, there's lots more eye candy in OFB too... like seeing neighbouring
lots while you're playing a house... gives you the feel that you really
are in the neighbourhood (shame you don't see your neigbours go off to
work).
But in NL, I found I could only invite two party guests. Now I can invite 5!
So they've done something, and gets the thumbs up from me.
Very nice.
Though Im subject to a bit more in game freezing every now and again.
