I installed the patch early this morning and have been playing the
game for hours today but it hasn't given me any problems so far.

That's good to know! I've not played since installing the patch.

I am using Daemon and sd4hide. I was not asked for the cd, either.

It's only supposed to ask for the CD if it needs to copy files off of
it. This update was relatively small (in items and size), so I guess
it didn't >> Stay informed about: Sims 2 OFB: The Patch is up! |

If it's a full image, sure, but I think D like many of us is using the
18MB mini-image, which doesn't actually contain those files. >> Stay informed about: Sims 2 OFB: The Patch is up! |

So, any reports on whether/how much the patch improves game play?

Tell that to a dial up user. LOL They wouldn't think 17 MB was a small
file. But, you're right about what you said. I remember having dial up
and downloading a Windows update that was 17 MB and it
took.............all..........day.......looooongggg!!!!

Yep, you're correct! Everything is okay now. I just got nervous until I
found out that it happened to everybody else too.

Worst case scenario, the patch would have bombed and said CD not
found... it's a good precaution to unload the mini image though

I neither unmounted the image nor opened the sd4hider. I merely saved,
scanned, and installed the patch. Quick as a breeze, and flawless.
