Post subject: Newbie needs help with video options

Sorry for what is probably a pretty basic question

I am setting up my cabinet and just installed MAME and roms. The
problem I keep running into is that many of the games appear sideways
on the screen when I open them up.

What video options do I need to change and how do I change them?

Thanks for any advice.
