Number of Characters

Make 10 chars on another realm and find out? I don't think tehy will
delete chars without you explicitly making it so.

The maximum number you can have on one server is 10. When you have 10,
the "Create New Character" button disappears.

The maximum number you can have total is 50. If you have 50 and click
the "Create New Character" button on a server where you have less than
10, it tells you that you already have the maximum number of characters
allowed.

Yes, I have tested both of these statements recently.

It's 10; I have 10 on Maelstrom.

Hmm, hope that goes up when the expansion comes out - I currently have one
of everything (every class and every race), so 9 characters on one server,
but will be wanting to try the new races out as well!

Actually, I'm down to 44 now. I deleted a batch recently.

Correct, and it also make sence. With 10 chars. you can have one of each
class for both sides at a RPG or PVE server.

I wonder if they change it to 11 or 12, when the expansion comes out?
Some people with 10 chars, might want to try the new races at the same
server they got the other chars.

Yeah, I'm wondering about that. I now mainly play on 2 servers, both
RPPVP, playing Horde on one server and Alliance on the other. I have 10
characters on one, and 9 on the other. I may need to delete a character
in order to try out one of the new races. It wouldn't be the first (or
the tenth) character I've deleted, but if I could try a new race without
deleting a character, I guess I'd prefer that.

Um, I quite probably was... and yes, I only logged out a few minutes ago
This game is FAR too addictive, keep saying to myself "I'll just do
this" and then another hour's gone!

Or stop being an addict to running censuses for warcraftrealms.com... I'm
not at 50 yet but must be at 30 or so with all the random low-level
characters I run censuses on now and again
