Looks like the prayers of those who play the Take Command civil war series
are being answered. A new company, a new engine, more features and now
includes multiplayer!

From what I see it's not certain the new game - codenamed "ARW" is
going to deal with the ACW.

From the new links to Age of Linear warfare one could take a guess
that "ARW" = Age of Revolution Warfare which could mean a game/engine
dealing with the American revolution or even a Nappy game.

That's true, they haven't announced the game subject but even if it's not
ACW the modders will take care of that.
