Any ideas, a 2,4 ghz processor, 512mb ram and a nice clean hard drive but
when I run Sim4 the PC sounds as if it is going to take -off it is really
loud.

Thanks

Ian

It'll be your graphics card fan or CPU fan - SC4 requires a lot of
processing power so the fans have to adjust to keep them the same
temperature.

Try putting computer under an air conditioner? Is it your CD rom drive that
sounds loud or just the inside of your computer?

Have you checked that the computer components are properly fixed into the
box?
If it's the cd-/dvd-rom drives. You could try a no_cd fix to run it from the
hard drive instead.
If it's new and under warranty get the manufacturers on the phoneline and
let them listen. I got an new fan immediately once by holding the telephone
receiver up to the back! Needed no other explanation.
Might be worth doing a springclean on your computers innards if older. You
can get forced air sprays from the photography shops to blow the dust off
fans.

(I once had a Zanussi washing machine that seemed noisy when I first used
it. It blew the fuses and I found that the thermostat hadn't been fixed at
all).
