The interview is pre-TGS, but it basically has Itagaki saying that he handed
Ninga Gaiden Sigma off to one of his junior producers for the PS3 port so
Itagaki could work personally on DOAX2 and his next game, which is "what
everyone is expecting" (ie. Ninja Gaiden 2 for the 360.)

He also says the PS2 "had a fifth of a sixth of the power of the Xbox" and
that it would have been impossible to port the original Ninja Gaiden to the
PS2, which is why they're doing it now on the PS3.

LOL, fifth or sixth. Itagaki wears his Xbox fanboyism on his sleeve, doesn't
he?

Yup, although he says that he'll go "wherever the best hardware is".
NG Sigma appears to be basically Team Ninja "testing the waters" to see
if the PS3 is prohibitively hard to port games (i.e. Ninja Gaiden 2) to
without losing quality. I expect that Ninja Gaiden 2 Omega, or
whatever, for the PS3 will be out 6 months to a year after NG 2 comes
out for the 360.

I also predict a Platinum Titles version of Ninja Gaiden Black will be
released for the 360, with all the stuff in the PS3 version, a la the Plat
Ed. of Morrowind with both expansions included.
