Well Nik was playing the orignal Diablo game and I played a bit for
him. Then he got the wife to play and she made it to level 14. I just
found out that the Big Dog himself is on level 15.

Should I tell her what is in store? I mistakenly told her there were 21
levels. Oh well.

She had a nice stair trap on one level and it took a long time to get
by it. I think she had to run away from the area and take them out from
behind a stone wall or something.

Wander if she finished it today while I was out?

OH! OH! OH!

Do not... I repeat in case you were sleeping DO NOT let the kid see an
elemental.... kids are just mystified by the little yellow fellow and
then make you crazy asking you to cast it again and again and again.

16. He's easy to kill with a sorc, not so easy with a rogue or
warrior unless you've got good gear and can stunlock him.

It's still a great game; I'm playing an ironman warrior ATM, just
finished level 11.

LOL! You got that right. My son was 6 when he saw me use a staff of
Elemental to clear Lazarus's lair, and he pestered me to use Elemental
for everything for weeks afterwards. He spent the next year making
sorcs just so he could clear whole dungeons with Elemental. He was
just fascinated by being able to send a guy running after the monsters
to kill them. Way more fun than Golem.

Why you... get a load of this folks, but you probably knew already.

I told my wife. she shakes here head and "unbelievable, ubelievable, I
wish I never cast it, he kept wanting it again and agian and again and
again,...

She played a rogue. Was this an elemental or was it something else? If
ti was something else then that means there is another thing that can
get the kid demanding.

nagain. But she does not recall other uniques besides the Butcher in
her first journey and she did not even see the Butcher on this journey.

Must remember that my D1 experience (=playing time) is surpassed only
by my D2 experience. I had 4 legit level 50s, 2 of which were mages. I
made the mistake once of killing Deathspit with elementals while 2 kids
were watching, and for the next 6 months, I found myself starting games
just to fire off elementals for them to watch. Kids seem to view it as
a fireworks show, in their own home, with thta certain on-demand
quality.
