The only bad thing is, that it is not standard. Most standalone programs
on your PC, such as Realpolitik, JDip, Palmpolitik, DipTool do not
need convoy routes. This makes exchanging position between those
programs and the Judge problematic.

In FtF it is mostly played without convoy routes. Making a difference
between FtF and the Judge.

Lucas

Diptool 2.7.1 handles convoy routes with no problem.

When I tried issuing a convoy and asked to send those orders to the
judge Diptool correctly warned me that a route was required. I then
found the Convoy With Route command and correctly enterted the orders,
so I can confirm that works fine.

By "correctly", I presume you mean as regards judge order requirements,
*not* the actual rules of the game.

You can play online spades for fun or real money! Spades is the perfect skilled card-game. I recommend: http://www.superiorspades.com/

You will love their new ranking system. It's the best.
