Hi All
Anyone got any idea as to why my lvl 70 pal is being offered (as an
example) 11+ gold per quest, while I, at lvl 69, get offered 4+ gold
for the same quest?
I have better faction with NPCs in there than he does, but I suspect
that the extra cash is to counterbalance the fact that he earns no xp
any more, while I still do?

Yep, if you're at maximum level you get extra gold in place of the
experience.
Interestingly it's not only at level 70 where that can happen - trial
accounts are capped at lvl 20 and get the same deal; my 2nd account started
as a trial account and I made quite a bit of cash on the first character I
made on it after he reached 20! Unfortunately they're also capped at 10g...

Quests completed at max level reward gold instead of XP.
Max level being 60 for non-TBC accounts, and 70 for TBC accounts.

I guess we'll have to wait and see but I'd wager that we'll get the usual
gold plus whatever xp we get from kills. As there has been no xp generated
for the quests at all it might be safe to assume that this would continue to
be the case.
But, with Blizzard you never know what they're gonna do till they either say
(even then....) or do.
