I know I sound like a fanboy, but I just had "my" trial in Neverwinter, and
this has to be the finest "30 minutes of show" that I've seen in a RPG.
Sand was brilliant, Torio was excellent. Sand especially is so well written
and spoken -- it's just a really good, immersive part of the game. He does
remind me a little of Hugo Weaving's Elrond. After so many bland, flat and
remarkable characters in almost all RPGs in the past few years, this is
really refreshing.

I've made a save game right before the trial and will "watch" some
different approaches just to get more of this. Wink Actually, I'm not the
type of gamer to play modules or campaigns more than once, but I think I'll
give NWN2 a second go-through when I'm done, just to see how the other NPCs
are written/spoken, since I can't have all of them in my group. (And I want
to do the "evil" part in Neverwinter, and speak to that spider in Duskwood
I couldn't speak to ...).

And a long campaign it is ...

M.

I liked the trial (pretty clearly inspired by the Phoenix Wright games, I
thought, but still fun), but that one was one of the few bright parts of the
game, I thought. And while I liked the NPCs, the interaction with them was
rather limited, I thought.

NWN2- everything for everybody? - Let's take bets. Is Obsidian going to make the EFE (everything for everybody) design mistake in NWN2? Disappointments? Can they pull it off? And they better have integrated database support or be compatibile with NWNX2! RAWR!

NWN2 - So when is it going to come out???

NWN2 first impression - Pathfinding is as bad as the previous game. Graphics are better. Controls are improved. Can't zoom out far enough.

NWN2 Questions? - Does the game level well? If you finish a chapter without doing many Side Quests will you end up to weak for the next chapter? What the coolist looking monster? What are the hardist monsters to kill? Anyone know how many hours NWN2 should take to..

Minimum requirements for NWN2 - The minimum system requirements for NWN2 have been published: Minimum, right now, is looking like a 2.4GHz P4, 512MB of RAM, NVidia 5600Ultra or ATI 9500pro or better and broadband for multiplayer.
