Why don't people use puppet mode? Some people talk about the poor AI
of their companions but with puppet mode you control a party of 4
characters without having to worry about AI. This is how I played all
of Baldur's Gate I and II and NWN2 has the same feel of that (although
without formations).
Using puppet mode NWN2 is a great game in my view, I'm near the end of
Act I and am playing the game as non-stop as I can and look forward to
keep playing as often as I can. >> Stay informed about: NWN2 is a long game ... |

Which camera are you using? I settled for the "topdown" camera with the
"always follow" option set in the INI file. That, together with more
sensible "edges" (faster turning), did the trick for me. I find it quite
comfortable, just had some trouble initially to find something that works
for me.
Yes, the AI is partly horrible. Especially in the Tomb of the Betrayers and
in the area between the two orc caves I was about to pull out my hair. Then
again, it is possible to take over the companions and instruct them. If you
queue up some actions, it helps to get over the weak spots.
