Have you checked all the tabs in the shop interface? They are for sale
in many places, including Temple of Tyr in the Merchant district and
Temple of Lathander in Blacklake.

I checked and Oelff does not have any for sale, I checked under Potions,
under Rings and there were none. Under Misc there is only a Gem of
Brightness. Where did you see Healer's Kits? >> Stay informed about: NWN2 Healer's Kit? |

Drax,
First off let me say that I never buy healers kits. Not even in the original
NWNs. I tend to find them, use a few, and end up selling off the surplus
when they get too heavy. That said, I took a tour of Act 1 NWN 2 and found
them in a couple of places, but I may have originally sold them to the
merchants myself. I found them at Sand's shop in the Docks District, and
Simmy had a couple at Old Owl Well. They are under the Misc. category at the
merchants. If you do not see them there, then they must have come from me
originally. It also means that there are none for sale in Act 1 because I
checked all the other merchants, and as I said I do not buy them. The first
place that I think they show up is with Uncus at the Keep in Act 2.

I noticed that merchants in NWN2 usually do not have unlimited supplies
of stuff. It's possible that you've bought out the merchants' supplies
of healing kits.
I've run out of merchants to buy arrows and bolts from on occassion
(usually set the spellcasting henchmen to missile weapons only, and no
spell-casting. I possess them when I want a spell cast; otherwise,
that foolish cleric is liable to dispel our Stone-skins while she is
dispelling that web or entangle that everyone saved against)

I rarely use them; only in cases of disease or healing up NPCs.

I'm pretty sure I've seen them in a few places (Deekin's? in additon to
the places you've mentioned) but these may be limited in supply and you
may have bought them all out. I'd check, but I'm in Chapt 2 now with
no Chapt 1 saves. Though I think all the Chapt 2 merchants in the city
of Neverwinter are the same... I may go back to the docks, blacklake
and check. >> Stay informed about: NWN2 Healer's Kit? |

I'm in Chapt 2, but I just went back to all the merchants in
Neverwinter... no one has healing kits. I've never purchased any, so
they weren't bought out. The merchants have the same merchandise,
including stuff I've sold them, as Chapt 1, and stuff that I've left
lying about is still there - so the area hasn't changed between the
chapters.
Interestingly, when I went back to the docks in Neverwinter, the game
put me directly into the Inn, where all the henchmen were waiting...
the same folks that are also waiting at the Keep

He has things to sell up to a certain point, then after you finish the
quests and stuff (may have been between chapters) he no longer has a
merchant dialogue.
I did buy/sell from him in Chapt 1, as he was closest to the map point
for Fort Locke, but when I went back to forge some items (before I
realized there were places at the inn, etc) he wouldn't respond other
than to thank me for the help. >> Stay informed about: NWN2 Healer's Kit? |

Uncus has +1, +3, +6, and +10 kits. I bought out all of his +6 and +10 kits
in one purchase. He still had +1 and +3 kits after I purchased several of
them.
Spoiler-ish below. (If you haven't made it to the keep yet)

When you first get to the Keep you have to make a sort of moral decision
whether or not to do business with Uncus. This may be a problem for a Lawful
Good. It was no problem for my Chaotic Good.

The only Save that I have to re-explore is one right after I get to the
Keep. So not all areas are open to me. Deekin does not have any Healer Kits
while he is in Blacklake. He might have them after he moves. Tor Millows,
the priest in Fort Locke might be a possibility. I can't check him because
the save I am using is after I finished the Fort Locke part of the quest so

I don't think you need a lot of skill points in Heal, unless you're
using them in combat (and potions would be better for that - no chance
of failure)
The way it works (at least in NWN1, haven't confirmed for NWN2) is that
unless there's a harmful effect for failure (like missing your Disarm
Trap check by a lot, which triggers the trap) and you're not under any
pressure (like trying to use a skill in the middle of combat), you get
to "take 20" on your skill check. This means that after the fight is
officially over, which is a few seconds after fighting actually ends,
your Heal skill check roll is automatically 20.
Using a +1 Heal kit is automatically a 21 in a "take 20" situation,
which is enough to cure most diseases, etc. IIRC, you can also attempt
Heal untrained, which means with no skill points in Heal, a +1 Heal
check and no Wis modifier, you still get 21 in a "Take 20" >> Stay informed about: NWN2 Healer's Kit? |

For every point in Heal skill you heal 1 extra point of damage so, 5
points in Heal skill means you heal 5 more points of damage. Thats

My current game is at the point where I just got the keep. I moved
around and checked all the stores, and I found that I was wrong in my
first reply - I was buying potions, not healer's kits.
I found healer kits are for sale at these two merchants:
Fort Locke, Galen: Healer's kit +1, seems to have an unlimited amount
but available if you saved him and before he left (I'm not sure if he
will really go away).
Highcliff, Branson Marlek, the weapon smith: Healer's kit +1, seems to
have an unlimited amount.
So all my other healer's kits are from drops and containers. >> Stay informed about: NWN2 Healer's Kit? |
