Well, getting them to stand still did seem to cut down on the stuckiness to
me - I wonder whether they can nudge you into walls and rocks and things
when they charge after you.

I like using tactics in battles too and being able to control my forces -
you stand here and wait to ambush the bad guys while I draw them into the
trap is about the best you can do with NWN1 - the charging around after you
is not helpful in this regard. NWN2 is different? (I STILL can't run it on
my computer Goddamn it).

Best wishes

Well I thought of that while I was experimenting, so I took my character
close enough to be noticed by a group of cursed warriors. I tried the
command. My character still did not move and the warriors still attacked me.
The result is, I have no idea what that command is supposed to do.

The "lure the enemy into an ambush" tactic works just as well in NWN2. Maybe
even better since you can sometimes have 4 or 5 henchmen. <S>

You can give "Stay here", "guard me" and "attack nearest" commands
individually to henchmen.

By possessing the henchmen individually, followed by "stay here"
commands, you can put the henchmen exactly where you want them. So
one thing I do indoors is:

Move the casters to a particular spot several feet from a doorway,
move the fighters to a spot just ahead of them, move the rogue a few
feet further up and put her in "stealth mode", go back to my PC and
open the door. Pause, switch back to the casters and throw in a few
fireballs or AoE spells. The bad guys will come charging out towards
the casters, and when the get close, pause and switch to the casters
and broadcast the "guard me" or "attack nearest" command.

If you put yourself in debug mode [~ DebugMode 1] then shift + will jump
your character to wherever your cursor is located. Fastest and easiest way
to get out of walls/boulders/etc. that I've found.

I never knew about that!
Many thanks, J.K.! I'm looking forward to a lot less frustration just
knowing that.

Small addendum ... in debug mode it needs to be the keypad +.
