Can our NWN1 characters continue to develop in NWN2?Can ou..

Hello all. I have been playing Neverwinter nights 1 with my family of
4. We have played through all three modules (Shadows of Undrentide
and Hordes of the underdark) We have really enjoyed them. Recently I
bought 4 shiny new copies of Neverwinter Nights 2 with the intention
of carrying on our Dungeons and Dragons tradition. It was really cool
to be able to develop our characters through each of the three
adventures - just like playing the real role playing game of D&D. I
was wondering though if anybody knows if we can continue our NWN1
characters through to NWN2? Can we just load them from the 'NWN 1
vault?' Is there any continuity of character development from NWN1
through to NWN2?

Basically no. NWN2 is a whole new game. Nothing to stop you recreating
your characters though.
