NHL '06 custom roster problems...

Using some custom rosters to play a single season of the Swedish Elite
League in NHL '06. I've tried a number of different rosters, as well as
playing an NHL season, and I get similar problems. Players disappear from
my roster (particularly those not activated), I and the computer teams get
about 5 or 6 players of the same name, and my lines are changed in weird
ways without my consent. Currently, every computer team I play in my SEL
has their top line as Mikael Johansen at RW, C and LW, as well as a few more
sprinkled in on the other lines. Anyone else run into this? I seem to
remember having similar problems with custom rosters in the '05 version.

Specs: Athlon 3500+, GeForce 6800, 1gb RAM, AC97 sound. All latest
drivers.

are you patched up to #3?
