Sometimes, well, a lot of times the show annoys me with the screwed up way
they set up their myth recreations, but seeing a taxi flying through the
air in a 747's exhaust brought a big smile to my face. Smile)

And those "Professional" rockets blowing up so spectacularly on the
launch ramp!

Yeah, they seem to miss the boat sometimes, but I thinke they do it on
purpose so fans will get all irritated and then they can do a
revisited episode.
Fine with me - the more Kari, the better.

That was pretty lame wasn't it? I still don't know why they don't go get
an actual 1967 JATO device and use it.

That fake dolphin was terrible. Sharks have a whole bunch of EM sensors
that would go nuts on anything metal or electric. It's no wonder they
were confused by it. Why not just get a real dolphin. They have no
problem destroying a perfectly good car, so why not use a real dolphin?
Bunch of PC pussies.

I was always more partial to Scottie. Never was sure she left on good
terms before her reappearance in this episode.

Wait so did they redo that myth or are you just talking about the
video they showed from an actual case where it happened. Since they
could not convince the airport/insurance company to let them put a car
in the path of real jets in the episode I saw and had to resort to
using much weaker wind generating jets and could not get anything as
impressive as the actual phenomenon (which they had a tape of making
the need to "bust" the myth dubious). A reversal of their common way
of doing things where the actual thing is not that impressive and they
add dynamite or whatever to make it impressive.

I'm less worried about their "methods", but sometimes I either wish
they had tried a few more possibilties (sometimes they have but it got
cut) or that they just realized they do not have the resources to test
the myth as stated.

Apparently they filmed in it June but the last episode on Wednesday, the
season five super-size one, recreated it again with an actual 747 jumbo
jet, a taxi, a school bus, and a small plane.

Yeah, I don't mind if they can't recreate a freak "one in a million"
occurrence, but when they fail, they shouldn't call it "busted".

You mean a RATO?
They tried very hard to get one for the original episode - the Air
Force said no go. But they're more famous now, maybe they could try
again. Wonder if it's more than the ten grand they blew on the
rockets. Pun intended.

I think she went back to teaching for awhile. Still, she was probably
in the most danger.

Well, I'd heard of JATO devices from my days building WWII and later
airplane models so that's what I always call them even if they were really
rocket devices. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JATO
