Getting through the fog covered Transai Skyport!
I am trying to do this now for 2 days but didn't reach the other side yet.
Are there any hints or maybe a saved game after this puzzle...
How did you do it?? And in how many days?? Smile
Frustrated Greetings

1. Everytime you fail, the form of the underlying labyrinth changes.
Actually, the labyrinth becomes slightly easier over time (fewer
crossings, fewer branches, etc.)

2. Before traversing the fog covered labyrinth, you can go *under*
it and check out its topology; maybe draw a map.

Thanks Jenny100 that is exactly what I did..........Smile
I have now an easy looking maze saved, but I am not through yet.....but the
maze looks easy!!!
I have also a saved gamed (see my other post) that I have fallen of this
world.....I hang around in nowhere land...trying to go back but I did'nt
succeed.....it really is very strange.
I don't think I can go back into the game this way..sort of dead
end.....but I keep trying of course.
I am just wondering if anybody else has this peculiar hanging in nowhere
land...

There are some simple techniques that make the maze at Skyport fairly
easy to navigate. Of course you must first look underneath and make a map!

The key to movement is to use the keyboard mouse not the real mouse.
That will force all moves to be straight lines rather than freehand worm
tracks. However, you must also make sure your orientation is exactly
that of the Skyport grid.

You align to the Skyport grid by moving close to the entry and looking
at the overhead wires. If you are not perfectly aligned, the lines will
show aliasing which will decrease or be removed at perfect alignment.

Now just use the keyboard mouse (letters) while following your map.

For some strange reason I did'n't saw this message.....untill now.....!!
I still haven't finished this transai skyport......I remember in Schizm1 a
bridge puzzel which was very difficult but in a way I loved it.
Now I have the same feeling with this puzzle......
Did you play Jack the Ripper??

No, I didn't play it. I remember seeing it around a while ago, but let it go
by and I haven't seen it for many months now.
I didn't play any of the Schizm games. I tried the second one but found it
much too hard and for me, too boring. So you are doing better than me with
the two Schizm games:).

I don't know what you mean by "hang around in nowhere land." Are you
getting a bug where you're half-fallen through and can't move? I did this
puzzle the way I described -- Jumped off the edge until I got an
easy-looking maze, created a save, mapped the maze, created another save
near where I'd start walking the maze, and I got through it on the second
or third try, walking very carefully so I didn't go over the edge. You do
need to remember your map is from the underneath side and either flip the
map in your head or flip your map paper over (easier to see the map if you
used a felt-tip pen that sort of bleeds through the paper).

First of all don't you think you're a little late in responding Smile Smile
I have finished the game......yes one afternoon I was able to do the clouded
maze! After carefully mapping!
What I said above........about hanging in a nowhere land still stands....it
was weard and I could not move on.
I was hoping I could send someone this weird dead end but no one answered
and I've kept the saved games for a while but now I dont have it anymore.
Greetings

I had some newsreader problems due to supernews moving their servers. I
have no idea where that old message came from. It should have been sent
back in December.

I'll be even later, since I finished the game last night...

....man, those people have no sense of pacing at all. Every puzzle was
the hard puzzle. *Equally* hard. Nothing relaxing, nothing to interact
with just because it's fun, no easy stretches where the plot is moving
along.

I mean, I liked any given puzzle. (I had no trouble with the fog maze
-- worst problem I had was their supposed logic with the two filters.
Went to a walkthrough for that.) But after a couple of hours of
playing on any given day, I'd reach a puzzle, stare at it, say "I can
tell this is going to be work, and I just don't want to do any more
work today."

Do you have the game still on your computer??
I found the saved games, they are still on my computer so I could sent you
this saved game when I was hanging in nowhere land somewhere under the fog
maze.
I'll install the game and search for it.
Let me know if you want to look at it and to which email adres I should sent
it.
