Definitely not! Never too old for anything, well maybe climbing Mount
Everest :

As my one son in law says to my daughter "your mother is a
big kid" LOL. Long may big kids rule - don't you think thats true
Barbara since you are in my age group ? - or close to it - hee hee

.
Actually Realms of the haunting is a different kind of game like no
other. The story and cut scenes are good. It has a strong adventure
story. Its a mix of action, adventure, horror, and sometimes shooting
horrible looking monsters,or avoiding them, jumping onto blocks of
floating wood, and really good acting. It keeps me awake. The only thing
I wish was better is the graphics. They are OK in some parts but not too
good in others, which some parts difficult to see. But I manage. It was
not made in high resolution. I don't know why. Better graphics were
avilable at the time it was made in mid 90's. Maybe they ran out of
money. One time I read they were going to re-make it in a higher
resolution, but heard no more. It would be nice.
I also like American McGee's Alice too which is also action, adventure,
and a lot of jumping and using various weapons to ger rid of monsters
which are horrible looking that you would never see in real life and
wouldn't want to. Its imaginative..
I think I got interested in action and jumping and stuff, from Nintendo
games, and I started off with an Atari which was 20 years ago, so I was
much younger when I started. The years just crept up somehow
I was also thinking of Twinsens Odyssey, which also has action/adventure
and a lot of jumping here and there and getting rid of weird looking
enemies. Which reminds me of Geoffrey Tobin who liked Twinsens Odyssey
so much - remember him? He hasnt posted here for a very long time. I
guess he has more important things to do. If they ever make another
Twinsens Odyssey, maybe he will post again.

I'll get back to Myst Revelation when I get rid of some monsters in the
cave I am in. I am playing ROTH in Dosbox and it says its playable on
their site, but not fully supported and that is true.
A couple of parts are kind of tricky. But so far I have been able to
play it OK and Jenny, if you are reading this,I got over that gap and
back again without using a saved game. The run command does not work as
well as it should, but I tried different strategies of my own to get
over and it eventually worked, and had to get back over the same gap. It
took me many tries and a long time. That part was more challenging than
the game.
See you in Haven wherever it is. You will be far ahead of me now. I have
a walkthrough ready.
I was in the computer store today and saw Scratches and Keepsake but I
am not sure I want to play any of them. I am waiting to see what
Dreamfall and Paradise will be like.
See you Barbara.
