Multi-Player Problem

I installed Age of Empires: Age of Kings and I'm trying to get it to work
with the zone multiplayer. We can play the game fine and everything but once
we try to go to zone and make it work, it'll tell me "setting up multiplay
game" and then after about a minute it'll say "unable to join game" I
downloaded the patch. I've try the firewall where you make an exception. But
it still doesn't work. Can anyone help me?
