How does Morph interact with the Epic spells from Saviors of Kamigawa?
Can I still put creatures face-down with an Epic spell active?

If an Epic spell you control has resolved, you can't play spells. Period.
Doesn't matter whether they'd be played face-up, face-down, from your hand,
from your graveyard, without paying the mana cost, doing Foo rather than
paying the mana cost, from your RFG zone - if you'd try to play (announce)
a spell, you can't.

Since the ONLY way to use Morph is by playing a creature spell, it's then
easy to see that after your epic spell has resolved, you have no way after
that to use Morph to play a creature spell face-down.

For the record, you can still *put* things into play, which is
different than playing them. (For example, Patriarch's Bidding or as a
response to someone else's Tempting Wurm.)

However, I don't think you can put a creature into play face down, even
if it has morph, unless a card instructs you to. I think morph is only
a "play" ability.

Correct. To do that, you'd need Illusionary Mask, which says specifically
to do this (and doesn't care whether the creature card has Morph either).
