Archived from groups: rec>games>miniatures>warhammer (more info?)

Yeah, so it was a Thursday afternoon (morning, for me) as I walked
into work, and there was one of my gaming crew on his cell phone with
another of the group.

He looked up at me, with a devilish grin on his face and said,

"Hey, Seamus? Here's a question: What would you think about Mordheim?"

I had a wargasm on the spot.

So I'm going with a merc warband, and here's what I have planned so
far (subject to change as the unit cost allows):

1 Leader (I'm thinking of starting with a Brettonian fig and working
out the unique flash from there.)

1 Ogre with Heavy Armor and Great Weapon (purchased)

3-4 Elven archers (currently bidding on bits)

3-4 Pikemen (I could do several things for these guys)

3 Swordsmen (Ditto)

So I'm dry-fitting the gut-plate on the ogre, but I can't seem to get
the strap-ends on the sides of the plate to line up with the belt.

at least I think that they're supposed to look "connected", right? Are
there any ogre modelers who've had a similar issue? Should I file some
part down?

I've got the bassinet/faceplate-style ogre leader helmet-head, Irongut
arms and I'm bidding on the great-weapons (BWB is sold out, at the
moment), and I'm planning on using mismatched round-shields as
pauldrons. It seems a rather 'ogrish' thing to do, as far as I my
impression of them lends.
