Hi,

This medieval French battlecry is also the name of a boardgame about
the 100 Years War, which is now being digitized into a computer game.

http://www.montjoiegame.com/

And the article about it in CyberStratège

http://dl4.celeonet.fr/rlebypir/articles/cyberstratege_montjoie.pdf

Despite appearances there's going to be an English language version of
this (light) wargame.

Greetz,

Eddy Sterckx

Demo available :

http://dl4.celeonet.fr/rlebypir/Kit/Montjoie0.14.24DemoOfficielleFr.exe

Unfortunately French only, but the tutorial is nicely done - it looks
professional, as if done by one of the big studios.

Yes.

Going to send them a mail asking about the English language version.
I'll keep you posted.

For those of us lacking french skills, will this support single player
against AI?

Weird - everything runs smooth as silk here - probably a DirectX issue
as I remember the installer asking me if I wanted to install it (which
I declined)

The screen flickers like crazy with what look like several animations
running on top of one another - is there something obvious I'm missing?

The installer was in English, or at least had that option ... but there's
not any obvious combo of settings I can use to get this thing to settle
down. Ah well, will wait for the port. The music was nice.

[From Montjoie Team]

You can now download Montjoie1.01.71Demo.exe, it's a French and
English Demo version.

Enjoy!
