So, why do monsters have the IM_FIRE, IM_COLD, IM_ELEC, IM_ACID flags,
but not the RES_ flags? Reducing damage by 1/9th is quite harsh -- why
not reduce by 1/3 most of the time. I mean, I know the res_fire, etc.
aren't implemented, but *why* not? Are we out of flag space? If we
are, we could have a RES_BASIC flag which provides resistance to the
four basics, but have it be less effective than all four "immunities",
at 1/3 instead of 1/9. And, we could consider making the IM_ flags do
what they sound like they do and eliminate all damage. You really
shouldn't be able to kill a fire elemental with fire damage.
On a related note, I know some variants have vulnerable flags -- adding
these would enrich the game as well.
