Hi All,
if given a choice of the following - what would you choose ?
1 x 6800GT 256MB video card + 2 flat screen monitors (17")
or
2 x 6600GT 128 MB video cards + 3 flat screen monitors (17") can also use
existing monitor for 4th screen.
am trying to get the best for my fs9 experience as my meagre budget will
stretch
rest of the proposed system -
AMD Athlon -64 dual Core 4400
2GB Ram
200GB HDD

Oh, a tough one. FS9 is largely dependant on your processor, much less
so on your graphical hardware. You seem to have that covered in spades
with lots of memory and a bangin' processor, although FS9 won't take
advantage of both cores at once.
Were I you, I would go with the single card, and an SLI motherboard,
just in case down the road you'd like to, maybe, play another game
besides FS9 (and maybe FSX will have both dual-core and SLI/Crossfire
support, eh?), and invest in an excellent TrackIR 4. That way, you won't
have to deal with setting up multiple monitors, although some prefer
that to learning to use a TIR properly.
