Monitor help needed.

I recently purchased a Golden Tee Fore machine in a showcase cabinet. It
has a 33" Sharp Image monitor. The monitor has a significant hour glass
effect where the middle is narrower than the top and bottom. It also seems
to have convergence issues near the corners. Maybe this is related to the
hour glass effect? Also, the top corners have the color washed out a little
bit. How would I fix these issues?

I also found out that it is just a standard resolution monitor. Would I be
better off buying a new medium resolution monitor? I don't know how
expensive 33" replacement monitors are. Would I be better off just putting
a new 27" monitor in?
