Thanks. The default settings seem a bit weird, though. I enabled that add-on
and went playing around. I didn't read any manuals. The first beast I encountered
was a lvl 31 sharptalon (I'm level 2
in Ashenvale. Seemed to work ok, until the
beast came close. Suddenly the main toolbar started displaying the row 2 of
actions. I never use the row 2, so it was mostly empty, and the toolbar was locked
so I couldn't change it back. All of my melee and most of my ranged attack commands
are on row 1. I almost panicked, but fortunately I could still use the right
mouse button to hit the monster. My pet died and my hit points fell quite low too,
but finally the sharptalon died. Then my action bar turned normal again.
The fight was quite quick, so I wasn't sure what was going on. Later I verified
that the action bar was definitely misbehaving in melee range, so I disabled the
add-on.
After the gaming session I RTFM and realized that the add-on was acting exactly
as designed. The default settings are definitely quite strange though. However,
the manual warns that the add-on is not for kids and that seems to be true.
I have to try different settings next time. Maybe I can get the add-on the behave
right.
