Hey,

Codex: CSM says the Havok Launcher is now a Pintle Mounted weapon.
It's described as a Twin-Linked Missile Launcher - on a Pintle Mount?
When did that happen?

None of my Rhino kits included any Pintle Mounted weapons, much less
HLs.
What's that all about? Are there even Pintle Mounted Havok Launcher
bits?
A search of the UK Online Store yields no result.

TIA

Same HL as is still on the Chaos vehicle sprue (how 6 missle tubes only cont
as tl is GW math in action), just the rules and descriptor have changed.

it's just a semantic distinction. the "reason" (and i use the word in its
broadest possible context) is that vehicles are now only allowed one pintle
weapon - so a Chaos Rhino can have a pintle combi-weapon OR a havoc
launcher, not both. (I have 2 rhinos with both, so i ain't gonna adopt that
particular rule any time soon).

also, in Apocalypse pintle mounts automatically get the anti-aircraft
ability, so i guess y'all gotta know what counts as pintle-mounted and what
doesn't for that.

when Gav visited the bathroom one morning and divined from the dubious
consistency of his bowel movement that vehicles couldn't have more than one
"bolt on" weapon anymore.

hmm? your rhino should come with a combi-weapon on the upgrade sprue.
ironically, even though this LOOKS like a pintle mount (which the havoc
launcher doesn't), it doesn't count as one (which the havoc launcher does).
clearly, this is one of those rules changes that makes the new Chaos army
list more straightforward and easier to understand.

nah, just the remote-controlled bracket turret thingy. once again, it
appears that You've Been Gavved(TM). happens to us all sometimes ... well,
increasingly often at the moment.

Six tubes? I've got 9 Vehicle sprues, and no HLs, hence the query.
I think the LR and Chimera came with H-K tubes, but no Havoks.

Only one Rhino is the new Mark Whatever, though.
Is a HL included with the non-Chaos version, also?

Right. Apparently, the 'stock' TLBolter can't be upgraded . . .

Check.

Aaalll righty, then. Thanks for the heads-up.

Ah, sounds like you have loyalist SM and IG upgrade sprues. All the chaos-y
bits are only on the chaos vehiclce sprues, which only come in chaos vehicle
boxes.

"regular" LR - no chaos sprue
Chaos LR - chaos sprue

Hope that helps.

No, they're Chaos Vehicles except for the Chimera.

Heh. Yeah, I'm down wit dat, but the armaments should be universal.

What I have though, are 5 old-skool Rhinos and 1 new one.
The old ones definitely had no Pintle bits of any kind.
I'm thinking I got shorted a sprue on the new Rhino, though.

From Doc's reply, I gather a PM TLML isn't on *any* sprue.

Thanks for answering, though.

No problem. If you did get shorted the vehicle sprue, you could call GW
Direct Services to get a replacement. The multi-laser flash-supressor on my
Chimera sprue was missing, and they sent me a complete sprue as a
replacement.

The Havoc Launcher is not universal - only Chaos vehicles have it. You'll
also find that the Chaos vehicle accessory sprue has the combi-bolter and
the CSM crew, unlike the loyalist sprue which has a stormbolter and SM crew
with techmarine shoulder pad. If you got a SM crew member and stormbolter
with your Rhino, then you have the loyalist version.

None of the above. Thanks for the replies, all.
