I too think games are fairly priced now. You only have to read GamesTM's
retro section to see what an astronomical cost both games *and* console's
used to be. When Nintendo 64's Turok was on sale at £60-£90 depending on
where you went, they perhaps had brought the piracy on themselves, to an
extent (in a similar way as the tobacco companies and government have
brought Britain's black market tobacco on themselves). Now, however, I think
it is all just about fairly priced and, as such, the industry doesn't really
deserve to lose any money at all to the black marketers.
That's not to say games still couldn't be a little cheaper still though. I'd
say £25 is about right, as long as I'm only paying on average £30 for a new
game, that's still OK. It's hard to price though, I swear to this day that
what LOZ:OOT gave me in terms of pleasure, I would have gladly forked out
£100 for.....but then paying £30-£40 for a FIFA game is absolute daylight!
